Terms

By using thecolab.ai you agree to these terms, alongside the audience-specific terms you accept at registration (candidate or employer) and the Privacy Policy.

1. What the platform does

thecolab.ai ranks candidates against roles using hard filters, a structured skill score, a semantic score from text embeddings, experience quality, and employer-calibrated weights. Match scores are always decomposed so candidates and employers can see why a match landed where it did. Automated decisions are not made: the platform ranks recommendations and humans decide.

2. Your data

We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your data. You can edit any chunk of your profile from your dashboard.

3. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time, with cascade — see the “Your right to delete” section of the Privacy Policy for the exact list of records removed and the limited exceptions retained for audit and legal reasons. Sign in and use the “Delete account” section at the bottom of your dashboard. The operation is irreversible.

4. Bias safeguards

We strip protected-characteristic proxies (names, photos, suburbs, postcodes, graduation years, pronouns) from candidate profiles before showing them to employers, and we log every strip event in the bias audit so the safeguards are testable. Employers do not see unstripped data through the platform.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the platform to harvest candidate data for unrelated purposes, to circumvent the introduction process described in the employer terms, or to violate the Privacy Act 2020 or the Human Rights Act 1993.

6. Changes

We may revise these terms. Material changes will be announced via the email associated with your account and re-presented at dashboard login. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
